Foundational Training Program (FTP)

101 is offered throughout the year,

201- 401 are offered seasonally.

101 FOUNDATIONS OF THE FAITH – This class will introduce youto Evangel’s statement of faith. You will learn what we as a church believe and the biblical basis for our beliefs. This class is required for all new member candidates. Upon completion of the class members are eligible to serve in a variety of ministries at Evangel.

 

201 SPIRITUAL MATURITY – This class focuses on spiritual growth. You will learn the habits and disciplines of a disciple of Christ. Some of the disciplines that will be covered include: prayer, Bible study, meditating on the Word, quiet time, fellowship, and fasting.

 

301 DISCOVERING MY MINISTRY – This class is designed to help you discover how God has uniquely gifted you for ministry. You wili dentify your spiritual gifts and learn what the Bible teaches aboutspiritual gifts.

 

401 EVANGELISM – This elective class will equip disciples of Christ to share their faith in an efficient and effective way. Instructors utilize a variety of evangelism methods helping students to be better prepared to fulfill the great commission.

 

FTP Express** - A unique offering which consists of taking all10-weeks of a class in 2 successive Saturdays (5-weeks worth of instruction each Saturday) and is offered during the summer months when traditional FTP classes are not in session.

 

All classes are 10-weeks** in duration (except for FTP Express) and are offered in fall, winter and spring sessions during the regular calendar year.

 

Upon completion of the 101, 201 and 301 classes members are eligible for graduation and will receive a cumulative ‘Certificate of Completion’ of the Foundational Training Program. Upon graduation members are eligible to serve in positions of leadership in a variety of ministries at Evangel.
