Evangel Youth Bible School (EYSB)

The Evangel Youth Bible School (EYBS) works to position our children to consistently receive blessings from Jesus because they consistently give God glory by walking in His truth, love, and relevance.  Most importantly, we make sure Evangel's children understand the Gospel and give them the opportunity to both know the Savior and grow in Him.

The world works hard at distancing our children from Christ's word and His love.  Because of this our children are bombarded by secular education, media, movies and music that is either void of Christ or even overtly anti-Christ.  These forces influence our children negatively by making it difficult to maintain a strong Christian worldview, or properly see the world through the eyes of Christ.

Meeting Times:

We meet every Sunday, from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM, on the third floor of Evangel Ministries.

EYBS provides the following classes:

  • Primary Class:      4yr olds - 1st grade, in Room 301.

  • Elementary Class:    2nd grade - 4th, in Room 302.

  • Junior High Class:    5th grade - 7th grade, in Room 303.

  • Senior High Class:    8th grade - 12th grade, in Room 304.

To help accomplish these three goals, EYBS uses the following tools:

Curriculum.  The curriculum we have chosen to use is Children Desiring God, from Dr. John Piper's "Desiring God" series.

Bi-weekly devotions.  We provide bi-weekly devotions based on Bible book studies for all age groups.  These devotions encourage parents to have regular times of teaching the scripture to their children.  So far we have provided devotions on the following books:  Genesis, Exodus, Joshua, Judges, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and Acts.

Bible Battle Games.  At the conclusion of a book study the students participate in friendly games that test their knowledge of the books studied during the family devotions.

Parent Teacher Conferences.  EYBS conducts parent teacher conferences to give parents an opportunity to meet their children's teachers and discuss their children's spiritual needs.
